Welcome to the Virtual Kenya Upload page, where registered users are able to share various forms of map-related content with members of the Virtual Kenya community. To create a personal account click here. Since Virtual Kenya aims to make spatial data and GIS tools more accessible, we encourage you to share your work - including maps, tours, lesson plans, and GIS-related events - by using the appropriate form in the Upload menu to add your content to the Virtual Kenya website.
Note: Not all fields in the content upload forms are mandatory. All uploaded content goes into moderation and will not be published until approved by an external review panel. Approved content can be downloaded by any user who is registered with Virtual Kenya.
Use this form to upload static map images that can be shared through the Virtual Kenya maps library on the “Map Images” page. Eventually, users will also be able to upload Google Earth (KML) files and tours for others to view.
Virtual Kenya's learning resources will revolutionize the way that lessons about Kenya's geography and environment are taught in secondary schools and university classrooms. Registered users can share their own GIS-related publications or tutorials with other Virtual Kenya users using this form under the Upload menu. Approved resources can be read online or downloaded for offline use.
Use this form to submit GIS-related blog posts, YouTube video links, events and competition entries for posting on the Virtual Kenya website.
